Only the Gentlest and Safest Methods

Your Past Preserved uses only eco-friendly and safe cleaners that are non-soapy, non-corrosive, clean-rinsing, and biodegradable. These cleaners are pH neutral and do not contain salts that could damage the memorial.  We use only non-scratching tools (natural fibres and/or wood and/or plastic) in order to remove dirt, debris, and biological growths (mosses and lichens) attached to the surface of the memorial.

Your Past Preserved does NOT use any type of powered pressure washer or metal-bristled brushes - EVER!

Your Past Preserved is not equipped to restore or repair damaged memorials.  We will not be able to work on any memorial that is taller than can be safely reached on a 4-foot step-ladder.  For the safety of both the cleaner and the memorial itself, we may decline to clean any monument that is unstable or damaged.  Your Past Preserved will do everything possible to ensure memorials are left in as-found, but cleaner, condition.  Our cleaning services are offered between April and October.
